Our Staff

The ManAlive project started in August 2010 with the appointment of Sandra Gordon as ManAlive Project Co-ordinator and Mairead McCann as ManAlive Health Promotion Nurse.

Sandra Gordon - ManAlive Project Co-ordinator

Sandra started work with UCF in 2003, her first post was as Regional Melanoma Strategy Co-ordinator she later moving to core UCF staff in the roll of Senior Cancer Prevention Officer where her work focused on promoting health and wellbeing in workplaces and working on health improvement initiatives with male groups.

Sandra completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion at UUJ in 2004 and in 2008 completed a diploma in Management with Belfast Metropolitan College.

Mairead McCann - Health Promotion Nurse

Mairead McCann, Health Promotion Nurse with the ManAlive Project also works as a District Nursing Sister within the Southern Trust Area. Mairead qualified with a BSc (Honors) in Nursing in 1994 and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Community Nursing in 2001 she also holds a Counselling Certificate and Further and Adult Education Teaching Certificate.
